Ratliff Industries started as a backyard business and grew into a corporation. Ratliff Industries started in the backyards of the Ratliff family and with high customer demand, and a growing need for fabricated steel, the business grew and multiplied to the successful corporation it is today! Ratliff Industries was incorporated in January of 1988 as a steel fabricator. Since then, it has been active in structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication for industrial, commercial, and petrochemical customers, providing a quality product in a timely manner. It has steadily grown throughout the years and continues to satisfy customer needs, grow and expand in expertise and industry knowledge, and take on larger projects in the area.
Mike Ratliff – President
Mike Ratliff grew up in a family of fabricators and has been working in the industry since
1974. Mike helped establish Ratliff Industries Inc. in 1988, with the goal of being a competitive fabricator that takes pride in safety, quality, productivity, and ensuring that we supply our customers with a cost-effective product. Mike enjoys his career and feels blessed to have the opportunity to work with the knowledgeable staff at Ratliff Industries. Mike has been happily married to his wife Donna since 1975, and they have four children and six grandchildren. Mike enjoys spending time with his family and friends, along with traveling, and tinkering with old cars and other projects.
Mike Bass, II – Operations Manager
Mike Bass, II has worked with Ratliff Industries for 16 years and has been in the steel industry for 20 years. Mike works as the operations manager where he oversees all areas – fabrication, supervision, and project coordination. Mike enjoys spending quality time with his wife of 13 years, fishing in tournaments at Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn, and hunting.
Jimmy McClelland - Chief Estimator
Jimmy McClelland has worked with Ratliff Industries for over 18 years and has been in the steel industry for over 20 years. Jimmy reviews design drawings, evaluates prices for each job, and works directly with customers to ensure that each customer gets the correct product and that they are satisfied with their overall experience. In his spare time, Jimmy enjoys spending time with his family, camping, traveling, and enjoying his farm animals.
Mike Bass, Sr – Estimator
Mike Bass, Sr has been at Ratliff Industries for over 11 years and has been in the steel industry for 35 years. Mike is an estimator/planner for Ratliff Ind. With his vast knowledge of steel fabrication he is a vital part of Ratliff Ind. In his spare time, Mike enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as fishing and hunting.
Ty Williamson – Shop Foreman
Ty Williamson has worked with Ratliff Industries for 8 years and has been in the steel industry for 12 years. Ty works as the shop foreman and fabrication quality control supervisor. Ty inspects all aspects of the steel from fabrication to welding, ensuring it meets AWS code. Once the work day is over, he spends his time with family and enjoys chasing Sow Trout!
Tyler Kvetensky – Shipping/Weld Quality Control Supervisor
Tyler has worked with Ratliff Industries for over 3 years and has been in the steel industry for over 6 years. He works in the shop as a welding, shipping, and quality control supervisor. He works to make sure welds are up to AWS standard and are of the highest quality before shipment. Tyler enjoys duck hunting and spending quality time with his wife Holly.
Debbie Stevens – Secretary, Financial Controller, and Office Administrator
Debbie has worked with Ratliff Industries for over 7 years and has worked as an office manager for over 30 years. Debbie takes care of accounts receivable and accounts payable and she balances the financial accounts. She assures that everything is flowing smoothly around the office. In her spare time, Debbie enjoys spending time with her husband Ricky, her three cats and two dogs. Debbie also enjoys barbecuing, playing pool, and spending quality time with her family and friends
Scott Sowell - Logistics Coordinator, Purchasing, Customer Service Team Member
Scott has worked with Ratliff Industries for 3 years and has been a transportation specialist for over 30 years. He makes steel purchases, maintains the Ratliff fleet of trucks, transports material to and from customers, and ensures that the products are delivered promptly and safely. He is responsible for customer relations and makes sure that each customer is satisfied with each order. Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and family, hunting and fishing.
Jeff Melancon – Logistics/Fleet Manager
Jeff has worked with Ratliff Industries for 1 year. He transports materials to and from customers. He has been in the transportation business for over 30 years. Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, hunting, and restoring old cars.
